Day 1B Entrants: 88
Total Entrants: 162
Day 1B Players Remaining: 30
Chip Average: 58,700
JD Akins (pictured) started the last third of Day 1B near the chip lead but is now top dog over Mike Marn after winning a huge all-in against Lance Sayler.
On a flop of K♦Q♣9♣ and a player already all-in, Akins bet 8,400 from under the gun and Sayler raised all-in for 45,400 in the lojack. Akins took a moment and called with A♣A♠. His aces were far from safe against the K♣10♣ of Sayler and the all-in player showed 10♠5♠.
The 8♠ turn and 6♦ river allowed for Akins to hold on and he scooped the pot. Akins is up to 140,000 and in front of the Day 1B field with two levels left in the night.
