With the final level of the night underway, Chris Horter (pictured) opens to 6,000 from under-the-gun and gets two callers in Lacey Osmon and Brandon Elmore.
The dealer spreads a flop of Q♥J♦4♠. Horter checks, Osmon checks behind, and Emore checks on the button. The turn is the 2♣, and again it checks to Elmore, who bets 10,000.
Horter calls and Osmon folds. The 6♣ completes the board and again Horter checks. Elmore immediately turns over 9♠9♥, prompting Horter to reveal his hand, A♣J♣. Horter's jacks are best and he collects the pot.
"That was a good check on the turn," Elmore says. "It made me feel comfortable that my nines were good. But then when you called, I knew they weren't."
"I had pocket tens," Osmon offers, and the next hand begins.
