The final table continues to be at a standstill but in between the doldrums, Troy Repp found a much needed double through Gil George, who is now under 700,000 after starting as the chip leader of the final table.
George opened for 45,000 on the button and Repp jammed for 260,000 out of the small blind. George took his time coming to a decision and called with K♠J♠ which was plenty live against the A♣3♦ of Repp. An ace on the flop put Repp far ahead and he held to double.
Matt Newcombe is now the short stack with 350,000 and could be getting those chips in the middle soon. Greg Jennings and Kristen Deardorff are neck-and-neck for first place and are pulling away from the rest of the field. A look at the updated counts is below.
- Gil George - 680,000
- Troy Repp - 660,000
