The dinner break provided enough time for major pots to brew and the action exploded in the first 15 minute of play.
Dan Lowery opened to 60,000 in the cutoff and Kyle Cartwright (pictured) shoved for 540,000 out of the small blind. Lowery used 20 seconds of time and called with A♥J♣. Cartwright trailed with A♦9♥ and couldn't catch enough on the A♠Q♠8♣10♦Q♦ board to stay alive. Lowery is peaking with 1,210,000. Cartwright finishes 17th for $2,573.
On the other table, Justin Gardenhire (pictured) met his demise. Jared Ingles raised the hijack to 80,000 and Gardenhire eyed Ingles' stack and then three-bet ripped for 520,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Ingles had Gardenhire crushed with K♦K♥ against Q♦Q♣.
The A♣J♦10♥8♣3♥ runout couldn't save Gardenhire and he busted in 16th place. Ingles is the chip leader now with 1,350,000.
Kyle Besaw (pictured) ended the flurry with his elimination against Dennis Thurman. Michael Pelt raised to 70,000 in early position and Ingles called on his left. Thurman three-bet to 175,000 in the cutoff and Besaw joined in for his last 240,000 from the small blind.
The first raiser and caller folded, leaving Thurman's J♥J♠ to flip against the A♦K♠ of Besaw. A board of 7♣6♠3♣3♥9♣ confirmed the end of Besaw's run. He places 15th and earns $3,430. Thurman sits behind 1,050,000.
