Yesterday saw two historic moments unfold for the RunGood Poker Series as it kicked off the seventh season. Not only did yesterday mark the first ever RunGood Tournament in Tunica, Mississippi but the tour stop stamped itself into the tour's history books with the largest opening event to date. Tuesday's RunGood Pro Bounty saw 292 entrants come from all over to play with ten special guests holding prize envelopes containing $1,000 CASH to RG Apparel. The bounty players were a mix of poker professionals and hometown heroes that included Chris Moneymaker, Daniel Lowery, Justin Gardenhire, Connie Rice, Teresa Lammie, Sam Brackstone, Chris Conrad, Ross Bybee, Kyle Cartwright, and Michael Sanders.
There was no shortage of party during the event as Mai Tais were announced as this stop's drink of choice during introductions. Players that were able to knock out special bounty guests received a RGPS gambler's hat, a pair of Spades Sun Shades, and signed lanyard.
A prizepool of $28,324 was generated with the CardPlayer Cruise PKG for two. At 3AM, Daniel Lowery was the last one standing as his K10 out ran Cherie Baber's 87 on the turn of a board reading AA710. Lowery took down the title and $6,174 + $1,500 Cruise PKG. Baber took down $3,906 for second and scored the $1,000 CASH bounty. The fan favorite $180 RG DeepStack 20K GTD starts today with a flight at 12PM and 7PM. Here are last night's payouts:
