Throughout the past year, the RunGood Poker Series has awarded hundreds of rings out to players from Florida to California in buy-ins ranging from $100-$2,500. A unique additional prize was awarded to all of these players this year on top of the money and ring, in the form of an invitation to play in the $300 Dream Seat Invitation at years' end at Thunder Valley Casino in California.
While it would be structured and payout like a normal tournament, the winner of the tournament gets a seat to the PokerGo Tour $1,000,000 freeroll in Las Vegas, Nevada at the PokerGo studio. The field will be filled with players who finish high on the PGT year-round leaderboard as well as those who have won seats through other various promotions. Last year's Dream Seat Invitational champion was Jeff Lennon.
This time around, a total of 47 ring winners came out to Thunder Valley to compete in the tournament, which ensured a total of 6 players a piece of the gathered prizepool of $11,750.
Etching His Name Deeper In RG History
In the history of Rungood, only two players have ever defended their title in the main event. It was this year in February where Derrick Yamada defended his title as the RGPS Jamul Main Event champion to collect $41,548 and become an even bigger staple in the RGPS California community.

Just the last week, Yamada claimed his third ever ring by defeating Adam Greenlee heads up for $4,580 as well as the seat. With $450,267 in lifetime earnings that date back to 2010, the San Diego area semi-professional is no stranger to the highs and lows of tournament poker. He conquered many challenging and decorated fields over the course of his long career and he looks to bring his talents to the Vegas felt against some of the best the game has to offer.
The RunGood Poker Series is excited to send one of the tour's most decorated players down to Las Vegas to play. Be sure to check out PokerGo for all of the updates on the tournament when it occurs.
