New faces in the field today

Flight B is buzzing as our photographer Joe Garrett moves around the room. Entrants have reached to 103 as we enter Level 3 of the day. Here are some new faces in today's field.

Ron Covert is a Allstate Agency Owner traveling down from Lawrence, KS to play cards. He's no stranger to the tournament poker scene or the RunGood Poker Series. His history with the tour started in 2016 when he finished in 2nd place at the inaugural $340 Harrah's North Kansas City RGPS Main Event for $8,812. He credits his more recent tournament success out at the WSOP this year to Jonathan Little's poker coaching program.

Mark Slatcher is definitely no stranger to the RunGood Poker Series. He finds himself on the other end of the business however as a player today. One of the tour's inaugural reporters, Slatcher has moved on outside of the industry but still finds poker to be one of his favorite passions. He's looking to continue his success at last month's tour stop at Downstream Casino and better his second place finish in the NLH Closer for $2,848.

Dodge Turner is a new face on the tour and we look to follow his progress in today's field. We weren't able to grab his story but look forward to asking him more questions on Day 2 if he is able to navigate today's flight.
